What stays on your device

The ID Photo Studio and Photo Print Studio process your photos entirely inside your browser. The live camera preview, background removal (the ⚡ on-device option), face detection, cropping, retouching and sheet layout all happen on your phone or computer — those images are never uploaded to our server.

The only exception is the 🤖 Advanced (server) button, which is opt-in and asks for your consent the first time you use it. Choose that only if the on-device option cannot handle a particularly complex background.

What we do collect

• Files you upload to print — kept only long enough to count pages, quote a price, and produce the print job. Deleted after your order is completed and pickup/delivery is done.
• Order details — filename, page count, paper size, colour choice, price, timestamp, your job reference. Kept for the shop's records and receipt lookup.
• Optional account info (only if you sign in): your phone number or Google/Facebook identifier, name if you provide one, loyalty points, order history.
• Payment records if you pay online (via PayMongo). We never store your card number — only the payment reference PayMongo returns.
• Technical logs — IP address, browser type, timestamps — used only to keep the service running and investigate abuse. Rotated after [X DAYS].

What we do NOT collect

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers, and there are no third-party analytics or advertising cookies on our site.
• We do not track your browsing outside of Papa Print.
• We do not keep photos from the ID/Photo studios — they never reach our server unless you explicitly use the 🤖 Advanced (server) option.

Your rights under the Data Privacy Act

You have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you.
• Access, correct or update that data.
• Withdraw consent at any time; ask us to erase your account and order history.
• Object to processing, request restriction, and receive a copy of your data (data portability).
• File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission if you believe your rights have been violated (privacy.gov.ph).

If we discover a data breach

We will notify affected customers and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours of discovery, as required by RA 10173. The notice will describe what happened, what data was involved, and what you can do.

Cookies and browser storage

We use only functional storage on your browser: a session cookie so you stay signed in, and small settings (like your preferred paper size, staff preferences on shop devices). Deleting these will not lock you out — it just resets those preferences.
